  1. What is the SEO process? What can I expect in the first months?  What do they do first? Ask for a time frame. If they guarantee you results in the first weeks, don’t hire them. SEO takes time and your ranking doesn’t change overnight.
  1. Do you have to make changes to my website? If they don’t plan to makes changes to your website, don’t hire them. Changes are crucial for SEO, especially changes to content and structure within your site.

  1. What report will I get? A SEO consultant will have to send you reports especially in the earlier months. It is very important for you to understand all changes, where they are applied and for what reasons. You should receive ranking and analytics reports weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  1. How long has he been a SEO consultant? There is no specifics good answer here. Just trust your feeling because SEO consulting is a long term relationship
  1. How often will I be in contact with you? The most important thing is to be in contact with your SEO Consultant to review result and strategy. 

  1. If I’m unhappy with your SEO services, may I cancel the contract? Many unethical SEO consulting firm bind you to a contract and charge your credit card every month. Be careful there. You should be able to cancel the service at any time and have a clear description up front of the services you buying and the time frame. 

  1. Can you provide references? Ask for references. Clients are a great way to find out about your potential SEO consultant.
  1. What does the price include? SEO Consultants must provide a clear description of deliverables and pricing up front
